Meet Our Pros
Ethan has been teaching tennis in the Hudson Valley for more than 10 years. He first began to develop his coaching skills when he worked at the Total Tennis junior academy in Saugerties, New York. He then went on to play tennis in College while continuing to teach each summer in the Hudson Valley. Before Ethan joined us at Dutchess Racquet, he became a teaching pro at Mohonk Mountain House Tennis Club where he further honed his coaching skills.
He enjoys working with people of all ages and abilities and has a true love for the sport.

Hanh has developed a playing style that embodies both the art and science of playing tennis. He has combined his mentorship, experience, and educational background in Sports Medicine to develop his personal brand of instruction and philosophies. Tennis has been a major part of Hanh's life. The privilege of making friends, being a teammate, and building a community is highly valued. He enjoys helping athletes of all ages and levels grow into this amazing game.
Coach T's tennis career started at Poughkeepsie High School in 1986. He started playing 1st doubles and worked his way up to 2nd singles in senior year and graduated in 1988. In 1988, he had a summer job with Tim Smith at Falcon Tennis Camp at Dutchess Racquet Club, Hyde Park, NY. In 1992, Turhan attended Old Westbury University in Long Island, NY, where he played number 1 singles. In 1995, he was runner up at the Visa Invitational at Manhattanville College, then returned the following year in 1996, and won the Mastercard Invitational at Manhattanville College. Turhan won the Regional Invitational Tournament Division 3 in 1994, 1995 and 1996 in both singles and doubles. Throughout his collegiate experience, he was employed from 1994-1998 as a Tennis Pro at C.W. Post College/ Eastern Excel Tennis Academy, Long Island, NY. From 1994-1998, he was a Tennis Pro at Robert Wagner Tournament Training in Roslyn, NY. Turhan's experience extends as a Tennis Pro at Syossett Tennis Academy, Long Island. After college, he became a Tennis Pro at Poughkeepsie Tennis Club from 2016-2019 and from 2020-present, a Tennis Pro at Millbrook Golf & Tennis Club. Additional Sports Career Info: In 1986 and 1987, he played on the Boys Scholastic Empire State Games Volleyball Team. From 1994-1998, he played on the NCAA Men’s Division 3 Volleyball Team for Old Westbury University. He earned MVP in both tennis and volleyball in 1995 and 1996.
